You can use the Layar app to scan my first Augmented Reality Trigger. (no need to print.) Eventually this will go on my bulletin board. Not sure how I feel about the ads it adds to my picture. Arusma is another AR app, but it only lets me link to one things. Layar will allow me to link to multiple things from one Trigger. On this picture below I linked to our interactive zeemap, blog post about the project and our class twitter page that we just started. I used Katie Ann's tutorials at Diary of a Techie Chick.

I follow Teacher Tipster on facebook. He has a post today on his dollar tree finds. He has some amazing videos on his youtube channel that makes things easier for you. I wonder if some of our middle school students could do some of these things and then go down to the elementary school and pair with some students. Would teach them and reinforce their skills too. Most of his ideas are probably for elementary. But love his energy. Some of the ideas can be used for middle school. One of his videos talks about Jinga sightwords. We have a Middle School Science teacher that has numbered the blocks and then the kids pull a card according to that number I think. I will have to ask her how she uses it, and post later. I am excited to watch more of this guys stuff. One of my goals last year was to bring back some of my elementary roots into the middle school classroom, with middle school content. And his website at TeacherTipster. Wonder if he is on twitter, need to check that next.

I was searching around simplek12 today, and came across a resource I have not used before. It is WatchKnowLearn.org, Wow the subject and videos on here are from A to Z amazing... I started with looking under the
  • Computer and Technology Section. Then I moved to the
  • Lifeskills section, which is going to be amazing for my SPED class. Next I ended under
  • For Teachers and Parents and then
  • Using Technology in the Classroom, then
  • Twitter for Educators. I am excited to explore these resources and share them with other teachers...

Which is your favorite category or video on this site? Had you seen this site before it was new to me, and I am hoping it is not blocked at school. I will find out tomorrow...
