You can use the Layar app to scan my first Augmented Reality Trigger. (no need to print.) Eventually this will go on my bulletin board. Not sure how I feel about the ads it adds to my picture. Arusma is another AR app, but it only lets me link to one things. Layar will allow me to link to multiple things from one Trigger. On this picture below I linked to our interactive zeemap, blog post about the project and our class twitter page that we just started. I used Katie Ann's tutorials at Diary of a Techie Chick.
I like the opportunity to start fresh,... I am not the teacher that teaches the same thing (of course some of it is the same) and the same way from year to year. It helps that I am not a core classroom teacher. There is always opportunities for growth and change in my teaching and working with other teachers. Each year is a new adventure.
I look back over the last 5 years I have grown so much professionally. My district has given me the opportunity to receive cognitive coach training (yes, I passed the class), participated in a staff development group at ESSDACK for Technology Integration Specialist, attend and Present at FETC, and Podstock, experience working with both apple and PC products, and so many other opportunities.
